You Won't Believe How Stupid This Clickbait Is

People Are Shaking Their Heads in Surprise and Disgust

We're not going to tell you how stupid this clickbait article is for paragraphs and paragraphs, and when you find out what the headline was referring to, you will be angry that you had been tricked into clicking on it.

You won't believe the lengths to which content creators will go to get you to click through to their articles, however insignificant, tangential, or meaningless is the actual reveal. You may rationalize your clicking of the headline telling yourself, "Well that's interesting," or "I had no idea," but you may also simply be disgusted at the author for even writing the article, let alone tricking you into reading it.

You may be staggered to learn that even the New York Times and formerly reputable journalistic heavyweights will rely on this now overused tactic to entice your eyes, completely replacing the former model for journalism, which was to let the headline actually give you the basic fact upon which the article expands.

You will be stunned, struck dumb (truly), smack your forehead in amazement, stumble around the room, fall over the couch, and knock yourself out on the coffee table.
